Having yet to face each other so far this season, the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks will soon become very familiar with each other. Scheduled to face off twice in December and once more in January, these two squads will kick off a competitive season series starting tonight in the State Farm Center.

In the 24 games these two teams have played against one another dating back to 2016, they’ve split things evenly at 12-12, meaning whoever wins tonight will finally break the tie. Considering Chicago won three of four meetings last season, it would be unwise to bet against DeMar DeRozan and the Bulls tonight.

You certainly won’t want to miss tonight’s action, so here’s how you can tune into tonight’s early tip-off.

Projected Chicago Bulls Starting Lineup and Injury Report

  • PG: Ayo Dosunmu
  • SG: Zach LaVine
  • SF: DeMar DeRozan
  • PF: Patrick Williams
  • C: Nikola Vucevic
  • IR: Out – Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso; Questionable – Javonte Green

Although both Caruso and Green recently received promotions to the starting lineup, injuries have seen both immediately removed from the lineup right when they had a chance to see an increase in minutes. Fortunately, Dosunmu and Williams surpassed all expectations last night, combining for 33 points and a lights-out 7-for-10 shooting from deep. If they continue playing like this, Caruso and Green can take all the time they want to recover from their setbacks.

Game Predictions

I predicted last night’s game to be a close one before Luka Doncic was ruled out, which in hindsight would have made picking the Bulls a far easier decision to stomach. The same applies here, as the Hawks will be without two starters in Dejounte Murray and John Collins. Another pair of key contributors are questionable for tonight in De’Andre Hunter and Onyeka Okongwu, which is why I’m surprised Vegas has the Hawks favored to win tonight. If the Bulls can defend the three-point line as well as they did last night, they should leave Atlanta with a big win.

My Predictions (10-15)
