It might seem difficult to believe when you look at their poor 10-14 start to the year, but the Chicago Bulls have actually won more games than they’ve lost at home this season. It’s a good thing they’ll be playing at home tonight then, as they host the ever-dangerous Luka Doncic and his Dallas Mavericks.

Both teams have gotten off to a shaky start to the season and will be desperately in search of a win tonight. Fortunately, history seems to be on our side. The Bulls have won four of their last five meetings against the Mavericks, so expect Dallas to try particularly hard to put an end to Chicago’s winning ways tonight.

Here’s how you can catch tonight’s action as the Bulls host one of the NBA’s greatest up-and-coming talents.

Projected Chicago Bulls Starting Lineup and Injury Report

  • PG: Alex Caruso
  • SG: Zach LaVine
  • SF: DeMar DeRozan
  • PF: Patrick Williams
  • C: Nikola Vucevic
  • IR: Out – Lonzo Ball; Questionable – Javonte Green

Javonte Green has missed his last two games due to injury and is once again questionable to return tonight. Patrick Williams has started in his place in the meantime. This knee injury comes at a very unfortunate time for Green, as he had just received a bump up into the starting lineup in the game he suffered his injury. If Javonte is able to return tonight, it remains unclear if he will once again start or be eased back into the rotation off of the bench.

Game Predictions

Despite my best wishes, the Chicago Bulls have had an incredibly difficult time closing out wins against similarly skilled teams this season. With Luka Doncic on a warpath for the MVP award, the Mavericks are likely to be too formidable a foe for the Bulls, despite what Vegas may think. Either LaVine or DeRozan is going to have to step up in a big way to win this one tonight. Hopefully, Dallas’ poor 3-8 record on the road and the fact that they’ll be on the second half of a back-to-back will be enough of an edge for Chicago to pull out a close one tonight.

My Predictions (9-15)
