Bulls vs Spurs Odds, Starting Lineup, Injury Report, Predictions, TV Channel for Oct. 28
Now that the Chicago Bulls have gotten back to a positive win percentage, things are looking far less gloom and doom in the Windy City. Through five games, the Bulls have claimed wins over both Eastern Conference Finalists from last season, dominated a division rival in Indiana, and were one missed foul call against the Wizards from being 4-1. Moving forward, their next challenge comes in the form of the San Antonio Spurs.
So far, things have been going surprisingly well for a Spurs team that was expected to blatantly tank and lose games to get an edge in the heated race for Victor Wembanyama. Like the Bulls, the Spurs have also achieved a record of 3-2 through five games, with wins over two playoff teams from last year in Philadelphia and Minnesota.
As much as San Antonio’s front office would probably like it if the Bulls won tonight to improve their lottery odds at the draft, this Spurs team certainly won’t make it an easy task. Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson are looking to be two of the biggest breakout players in the NBA this year, and with a solid supporting cast of Jakob Poeltl, Josh Richardson, and Tre Jones, this is not a team you can automatically pencil in a ‘W’ for on the calendar.

Projected Chicago Bulls Starting Lineup and Injury Report
- PG: Ayo Dosunmu
- SG: Alex Caruso
- SF: DeMar DeRozan
- PF: Patrick Williams
- C: Nikola Vucevic
- IR: Out – Lonzo Ball; Questionable – Zach LaVine
Initially expected to sit out every back-to-back for the foreseeable future, the status of Zach LaVine ahead of tonight’s game is certainly Chicago’s biggest question mark. Head coach Billy Donovan informed reporters earlier this week that participation in both games was not “off the table” for LaVine, and would ultimately be up to Zach to decide how his knee felt. However, there won’t be many betters for LaVine to set out than here against an expected bottom-three team in the NBA this year. If he’s not feeling 100 percent confident in his knee, I’d be much more comfortable if he rested tonight to conserve his energy for the 76ers tomorrow.
Staff Predictions
Now that I’ve finally correctly predicted the outcome of a Bulls game this season, let’s keep the momentum rolling here as the team heads to San Antonio. After trading away stars DeMar DeRozan and Dejounte Murray in subsequent summers, the Spurs are devoid of any truly elite talent. You can never fully count out a team led by head coach Greg Popovich, but if the Bulls wish to prove they’re true contenders this year, they need to make light work of bottom-feeder teams like the Spurs.
Bulls Upcoming Schedule
