After dropping a pair of back-to-back games against Eastern Conference rivals in Washington and Cleveland, the Chicago Bulls are in desperate need of a bounceback win here. It won’t come easy, however, as they’ll be stacked up against the reigning Eastern Conference champions in the second home game of the season.

Boston has started off a perfect 3-0 this season, claiming victories over very talented teams in Toronto, Philadelphia, and Miami. Star forward Jayson Tatum has been uncharacteristically incredible to begin the season and should pose a tough matchup for the Bulls’ own DeMar DeRozan.

The Bulls dropped the season series 1-2 to Boston last year, but their lone comeback win was one of the team’s signature moments of the entire season. Here’s to hoping Chicago can replicate that magic in front of the home crowd tonight.

Projected Chicago Bulls Starting Lineup and Injury Report

  • PG: Ayo Dosunmu
  • SG: Zach LaVine
  • SF: DeMar DeRozan
  • PF: Patrick Williams
  • C: Nikola Vucevic
  • IR: Out – Lonzo Ball

Until further notice, we have no reason to believe the Bulls are making any changes to the starting lineup just yet. Pressure is certainly mounting at power forward, however, as three consecutive poor performances from Patrick Williams may have the coaching staff considering shaking things up by starting Javonte Green instead.

Staff Predictions

If you fancy yourself a bettor, you’d have found great success thus far by simply putting money on the opposite of what I’ve had to say. As much as I’d like to break my 0-for-3 streak, this is an instance where I actually my prediction is wrong. The Celtics were Eastern Conference champions last season for a reason, and have returned arguably even a better team this time around with the addition of Malcolm Brogdon to the bench. Chicago’s best chance at pulling out a win here is exploiting the paint while Robert Williams remains sidelined due to injury.
