Now that the 2022 preseason has concluded and the Chicago Bulls have made their final roster decisions, they appear all but ready to embark on a journey to prove they’ve got what it takes to continue their upward trajectory in an Eastern Conference that looks tougher than ever. Achieving a 46-36 record last year, improving on that mark would be no small feat for a Bulls team that seems to have already been written off before the season begins.
Fortunately, the bench unit has been significantly upgraded from last year and some of the Bulls’ biggest weaknesses have been addressed over the summer. They may not be the favorites on paper, but I believe that this new and improved Chicago Bulls roster will turn a few heads once regular season action begins.
Chicago Bulls Full 2022-23 Roster
While most of the Bulls’ core remains the same from last year, Chicago has added two veteran upgrades in free agency with Andre Drummond and Goran Dragic. 18th pick and Chicago’s newest rookie Dalen Terry will also be fighting for a spot in the rotation, while two-way additions Kostas Antetokounmpo and Malcolm Hill will be waiting in reserve and ready to step in if the Bulls run into any more injury issues.

Chicago Bulls 2022-23 Depth Chart
Under the tutelage of head coach Billy Donovan, the Bulls have made what I think to be a wise decision in adopting a more positionless brand of basketball. It’s for this reason that I expect we’ll see plenty of three-guard rotations from the Bulls this year with wings filling in wherever necessary. Still, if we had to pinpoint each player down to just one position, this is what the Chicago Bulls depth chart would look like for the 2022-23 season.
- Point Guard: Ayo Dosunmu, Alex Caruso, Goran Dragic, Lonzo Ball (out)
- Shooting Guard: Zach LaVine, Coby White
- Small Forward: DeMar DeRozan, Derrick Jones Jr., Dalen Terry
- Power Forward: Patrick Williams, Javonte Green
- Center: Nikola Vucevic, Andre Drummond, Tony Bradley, Marko Simonovic
We’re most likely to see fluctuations in this depth chart at the point guard and power forward positions, especially if the status of Lonzo Ball’s knee allows him to return later this year. Green will continue competing for starting minutes while Caruso, Terry, and Jones Jr. are all capable of sliding down a position for small-ball lineups. Donovan will have more weapons at his disposal this season than he’s ever had on this team before.
