After an injury-riddled season, Patrick Williams looks to bounce back in a big way for the Chicago Bulls. At the beginning of the season in a game against the Knicks, the Florida State product took a hard fall that would keep him out of the game. It was soon discovered that Williams had torn several ligaments in his wrist and he would be out 4-6 months.

The Bulls felt a massive blow with the loss of their former No. 4 pick, the intensity that Williams brought to their frontcourt was unmatched. Fortunately for the Bulls, it looks like Williams has made a full recovery and his basketball bag got deeper.

Here’s a tweet by Daniel Greenberg showcasing Patrick Williams’s new and improved skills.

How deep is Chicago Bulls forward Patrick Williams’s basketball arsenal?

The answer to that question is, very deep. Williams was always viewed as a 3-and-D player to the core, he has the ability to knock down spot-up 3’s as well as the ability to guard multiple positions. The only knock I could personally say on Patrick Williams’s game would be his ability to create his own shot off the dribble.

After watching the video above I’m convinced that his bag is as deep as ever, showcasing that he can put the ball on the floor and get a bucket whether it’s in the paint or around the perimeter. And I know it’s a bit premature to assume such things considering that it is just one clip from an open run but here are some things to consider.

It’s not like he is out there playing against bums, he’s playing against other NBA players and if you look closely it’s last year’s Rookie of the Year, Evan Mobley who’s guarding him. Some of the other players in the runs included Boston Celtics Jayson Tatum, Trae Young, DeMar DeRozan, and several other NBA players.

Williams has the ability to impact the Chicago Bulls immensely next season if he brings the skillset that he showed in the open runs to an actual NBA game. Not many teams in the league can say that almost every position in their starting 5 can create their own shot. Because if Williams stays healthy then he is more than likely to be a part of that starting five.

With everyone returning from injuries such as Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, and of course Williams himself, the Bulls look to make some serious noise in the East next season. Patrick Williams will play a massive part in how far the Bulls go, he’s ready to showcase his new and improved basketball arsenal to the world.
