Ranking the Chicago Bulls’ 3 biggest offseason needs
By Josh Paredes
It’s going to be a long offseason for the Chicago Bulls, and it’ll help their future if it’s eventful as well.
It became clear throughout the first half of the regular season that this group of guys was much different from the past four years. For one, they could win games. They also had an excellent starting unit with a couple of key weapons on their bench.
Then the injury bug struck.
While their 46-36 record and playoff appearance was a big step in the right direction, it’s a shame we couldn’t really see what they were capable of after injuries to Lonzo Ball, Patrick Williams, and Alex Caruso derailed their efforts for good.
It’s not a stretch to say a fully healthy team would’ve been a top-four seed in the Eastern Conference and avoided a first round matchup with the Bucks. Still, they likely would’ve been underdogs in a series against either Miami or Milwaukee, showing there’s still room for improvement.
As they head toward an offseason with their most promising roster in years, there are some key areas to address so they can make even more noise in 2023.
