1. Bruce Brown

Bruce Brown is the do-everything glue guy the Bulls are missing.

With the Brooklyn Nets, he’s sometimes responsible for playmaking. When the team was without both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant (prior to the James Harden trade), he was in charge of running the offense when Harden went to the bench. In those moments, he did a phenomenal job of creating for Patty Mills and Nic Claxton.

When the Nets needed a defensive stopper, Brown stepped up and defended one through four, and did it well. Last year in the postseason, he was the player who had to check Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart. He made them both work, and was key in the Nets’ handling the Celtics as well as Brooklyn’s first two wins against the Milwaukee Bucks.

He even can step out and hit the three, shooting 43% from there. Getting Brown as a replacement for White is the perfect move for the Bulls. They are guard heavy, but do not have quality perimeter defenders at the position. They get killed on the boards every night and don’t have role players who can consistently affect the game.

Brown is that. He is the ultimate upgrade from White. And he might want out of Brooklyn after his one-year deal is up after the playoff meltdown the Nets just had.
