The Chicago Bulls’ series against the Milwaukee Bucks has been full of drama the moment the matchup was set in stone. The teams have had a thick disdain towards each other since Jan. 21, when Grayson Allen committed a flagrant foul on Alex Caruso that fractured Caruso’s wrist.

The fallout from that play was extensive, with Bulls fans making a point to call out Allen while Bucks fans, players, and official social media accounts backed him. To add to the off-court drama, Bucks role player Bobby Portis seemingly is holding a grudge against the city of Chicago for the old Bulls’ front office trading him away in 2019.

On the court, the Bucks have dominated the Chicago. They swept them in the regular season and mopped them in both Bulls’ home games in their first-round playoff series.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been the clear best player on court, while the Bucks role players — led by Allen and Portis — have killed the Bulls on both sides of the ball. As for Portis, he had a message for those in attendance at the United Center during the Bucks’ Game 4 victory.

Bobby Portis taunted Bulls fans at the United Center during Game 4

Portis has been his normal emotional self, flexing and yelling after each big play. And in Game 4, during a dead ball, Portis turned and motioned to his ring finger, reminding Bulls fans that he has a ring and they aren’t sniffing one.

This isn’t the first time the Bucks have clowned the Bulls in similar fashion. In the each rout, Milwaukee’s role players have let Chicago’s fans have it. The Bucks bench booed Allen on each bucket he got, mocking the United Center’s boos that have had zero affect on Allen’s play.

Portis and Zach LaVine even got into a minor skirmish in Game 4.

With under three minutes left in the contest, LaVine drove the paint but was fouled by Portis. The two got into each other’s jerseys after LaVine took exception to being swiped and grabbed by Portis after the whistle was blown.

Chicago will have start taking exception to these moments and play with pride. Allen and Portis cannot be the deciding factors in this series. If that’s the case, the Bulls as an organization have serious soul searching to do in the offseason.
