2. Nikola Vucevic
The Bulls big man has had an up-and-down season. He has games where he looks like an All-Star-caliber player and then he has moments where he looks like a wannabe second-string shooting guard.
In Game 3, he pulled the shooting guard number.
Instead of establishing his presence down low, like he did in Game 2, he floated around the perimeter. He began the game shooting great from 3-point range, however, this was fool’s gold, as he continued to take the three and couldn’t hit a shot to save his life.
He finished the game with 19 points on 17 shots while shooting 33% from three. The worst part about his play in Game 3 was the fact that he was cold and got served on defense.
Vucevic allowed the Bucks to walk to rebound after rebound on both ends of the floor. On switches where he had to defend Portis, he gave Portis open shot after open shot. His hot start to the game is what got the Bucks rolling.
In that moment, Vucevic should’ve went down low and got Portis or Brook Lopez in foul trouble. Instead, he decided to continue to finesse.
