2. Alec Burks

The Knicks have found consistency in Alec Burks. He’s averaging 11 points and 4 rebounds per game while shooting 39.5% from the three, 38.7% from the field and 82.2% from the free throw line. He has come up big in each Knicks’ win, most recently scoring the game-winning bucket and getting the game winning stop against the Pistons on Sunday.

Burks could be the leader off the bench and potentially step into a starting role. He can play off of DeRozan and LaVine while creating for Tristan Thompson, Alex Caruso and Ayo Dosunmnu. He can very easily complement each player on the Bulls and act as a complete Swiss army knife.

The biggest value he would bring to Chicago is his ability to pivot through tough stretches. This season has shown that the Bulls didn’t have enough insurance. In the event they go through another injury stretch (which is inevitable), Burks is a guy who can carry a unit for stretches. He’s done that for the Knicks the last two years. When they needed him to be a lockdown defender, he’s stepped up to the plate. When they needed him to be a facilitator, he helped the offense flow. When they needed another scorer, he’s managed to hit some clutch shots.

His adaptability paired with actual stars can really help elevate the Bulls given what they’re missing at the moment.
