The Chicago Bulls are back in action in New Orleans for a matchup with the Pelicans on Thursday night. The 42-29 Bulls are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference while the 30-42 Pelicans are in 10th place in the Western Conference.

The last time these two faced off the Bulls beat New Orleans on Oct. 22 by 16 points. Zach LaVine scored a game-high 32 points, while DeMar DeRozan had 26 points and Lonzo Ball had 17.

The Pels are coming off a close loss to the Charolette Hornets, in a game where Brandon Ingram didn’t play.

New Orleans will be without Ingram (hamstring), though, as well as Larry Nance Jr (knee), Zion Williamson (foot), and Kira Lewis (knee) on Thursday night.

For Chicago, Ball (knee) and DeRozan (hip) is out.

Chicago Bulls vs. New Orleans Pelicans betting odds, spread, over/under

According to WynnBet, the Bulls are 3-point underdogs (what?!) and +125 on the moneyline. The Pelicans are -3 on the spread and -150 on the moneyline.

The over-under in this contest is 224, which you can get at -110 odds for either selection.

Chicago Bulls vs. New Orleans Pelicans Prediction

Chicago is coming off a terrible loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. They looked to have quit once Milwaukee went on a run in the first quarter, too. Their trend of bad play against quality teams has caused them to drop out of the race for a top seed in the East and placed them in danger of falling into the play-in tournament.

Thankfully, the Pelicans aren’t an elite team. While they are playing for play-in seeding, the Bulls have a great record against teams below .500.  That said, we’re taking Chicago -3 and over 234 points.

Bulls 140, Pelicans 125.
