1. Add Williams to the Closing Lineup

The Bulls don’t generally have issues scoring in fourth quarters. DeRozan has been the NBA’s fourth-quarter king and LaVine has reverted back to his high-flying self. The problem? They just can’t get stops. Donovan has added Caruso into the starting lineup to combat this, but more help is likely needed.

Patrick Williams is a definite defensive and offensive upgrade from Green. While he’s coming off an injury, his lateral quickness has looked sharp and his conditioning seems up to speed. Williams also has great chemistry with LaVine and Vucevic, and never goes outside his role.

Monitoring his minutes early to allow for him to finish games may be the missing puzzle piece to their closing lineup as they await the return of Lonzo Ball, too.

The Bulls have lost their way due to injuries and a rough slate of matchups against the league’s best, but it’s on Donovan to combat that. He needs to act fast with 10 games left in the regular season and the playoffs fast approaching.
