There are three key injury timelines that fans of the Chicago Bulls are watching as we move down the stretch this season. Those three include point guard Lonzo Ball, point guard Alex Caruso, and forward Patrick Williams. But it is the former of those three Bulls players we are talking about here.

Second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Bulls appear optimistic that Lonzo is essentially on schedule with his recovery timeline after suffering a partially torn meniscus last month. Lonzo got surgery for this knee injury and started his recovery ever since then.

Donovan reportedly thinks that “nothing has changed with his time schedule” in reference to the recovery timeline for Lonzo early this week. Rob Schaefer mentioned on his Twitter timeline on Feb. 28 that Lonzo is currently five weeks into the recovery from this knee procedure.

At the moment, it sounds like the Bulls have all three of their key injured players on schedule to return before the conclusion of the regular season. Lonzo could be reevaluated as soon as the middle of March. Meanwhile, it sounds like Caruso and Williams are moving along for a potential mid-to-late March return likely at the earliest.

All three of these Bulls players are extremely important to what this team is looking to do down the stretch this season. For the Bulls to remain in the thick of contention in the Eastern Conference through the stretch run of the season, they’ll need these three in the fold.

The last game that Lonzo played in for the Bulls came way back on Jan. 14 in a massive road loss to the Golden State Warriors. He’s missed more than 20 games since that time.

Donovan and the Bulls are currently taking on the first-place Miami Heat in a road battle on the night of Feb. 28. In the midst of that meeting with the Heat, the Bulls are sporting a record of 39-22 after a Feb. 26 loss at home to the Memphis Grizzlies.
