Chicago Bulls studs from late win over the Hawks: DeMar DeRozan
The five-time All-Star forward DeMar DeRozan came up with more heroics in this win over the Hawks. This was the eighth straight game for DeRozan putting up at least 35 points while shooting at least 50 percent from the field. He’s on an absolutely torrid pace of late. And he’s set to round out the month of February averaging more than 36 points per game if he rounds it all out well against the Memphis Grizzlies this weekend.
DeRozan had yet another clutch performance where he hit the game-winner for the Bulls. We then saw wing Javonte Green ice the game for the Bulls with two clutch free throws to put the game away 112-108.
There was a two-pointer that DeRozan hit in the final minute of the game where he got Bogdanovic on a foul call for the and-one.
DeRozan was still brilliant otherwise for the Bulls in this win over the Hawks. He gave the Bulls a game-high 37 points on an efficient 15-of-21 shooting from the field, 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, and 5-of-7 from the free-throw line. DeRozan also came up with six rebounds, three assists, one steal, no blocks, and two turnovers.
Any game where the Bulls get 37 points from DeRozan on better than 60 percent shooting from the field and 66.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc, it’s going to be tough for them to lose. DeRozan continues to play MVP-caliber basketball for this Bulls team when they need it the most in close games.
