Coming out of the All-Star Break, second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls are getting ready to try to move their winning streak to six games. As the Bulls look to become the sole top team in the Eastern Conference standings later this week ahead of the Miami Heat, they’ll see one new face take the court at the United Center in a Chicago uniform.

Former Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings veteran big man Tristan Thompson looks set to join the Bulls as their first major addition to the roster off the buyout market this season. Thompson was added by the Bulls after the Pacers bought him out last week. He only played for the Pacers for a few games, though, before he was officially bought out.

Which players the Chicago Bulls should avoid on the buyout market?

But Thompson might not be the only addition the Bulls are looking to get off the buyout market down the stretch this season. It looks like executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley were still intent on trying to sign the former Heat and Toronto Raptors veteran point guard Goran Dragic off the buyout market after adding Thompson.

Dragic would wind up signing with the Eastern Conference foe Brooklyn Nets earlier this week, though.

It will be interesting to see how active the Bulls are on the buyout market in the days and/or weeks ahead with Dragic signed to the Nets. Yet, there are still some players the Bulls should avoid too on the buyout market even if they are available.

Here’s a look into two potential buyout market targets the Bulls should avoid at all costs this season.
