Chicago Bulls guards to consider after Goran Dragic signs with the Nets: Tomas Satoransky

What could make for a really interesting potential free agent signing for the Bulls down the stretch this season, if he does hit the buyout market in due time, is the New Orleans Pelicans guard/wing Tomas Satoransky. This former Bulls and Washington Wizards guard could realistically be bought out by the Pelicans before too long.

And there are certainly some needs the Bulls have on their bench that Sato could help fill right away.

There is still the issue of how Sato would feel about returning to the Windy City to play for the Bulls after there was apparently a bit of a sour departure between him and the front office. It sounds like Bulls’ management gave him a rather abrupt departure from this team when he was under the assumption he would be returning for the 2021-22 campaign.

Yet, if Sato has put this situation behind him, this could be a nice fit between him and the Bulls down the stretch this season. Adding Sato to the mix could allow for more versatility in the second unit for Donovan. Sato could also play some minutes at the one and/or the three for the Bulls, depending on what role Donovan needs him to fill at that moment in time.

It’s hard to imagine a player as versatile as Sato could not find some role for himself in the second unit down the stretch playing for the Bulls this season. And considering the fact that the Pelicans have essentially removed him from the core part of their rotation, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Sato actually hit the buyout market in the next week or so.
