3 outrageous 2022 All-Star trade targets for Bulls in the offseason
Potential Chicago Bulls’ trade targets among 2022 All-Stars: LeBron James
This is obviously the most outrageous name on this list of potential trade targets for the Bulls to consider among 2022 All-Star selections. The future Hall-of-Famer and Los Angeles Lakers 18-time All-Star forward and 17-time All-NBA Team selection LeBron James probably isn’t going to be leaving southern California anytime soon.
But you can’t ignore the frustration that the likes of LeBron and star big man Anthony Davis are feeling at the moment with the front office in LA after a silent trade deadline this year. It looked like the Lakers needed to make some moves down the stretch this season in order to jumpstart any possible postseason run this team could make.
The Lakers couldn’t get anything done at the deadline, though, particularly with the large annual salary on point guard Russell Westbrook’s current contract.
In a world where things really boil over between the Lakers’ front office and LeBron/AD, I wouldn’t be surprised if more and more rumors started to emerge about other teams the 18-time All-Star could be looking into in the next couple of offseasons.
A report from Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report last week detailed how the Lakers’ front office might be on a shorter timeline than most think in terms of finding a way to appease LeBron and AD.
Would the Bulls even be interested in LeBron if he wanted out of LA?
And would LeBron consider any landing spot not in California or in his hometown with the Cleveland Cavaliers?
That we don’t know.
In all likelihood, the Lakers’ will be forced to find a way to accommodate LeBron and AD and make a big move at some point in the next two offseasons. But there does seem to be a point of frustration with these two involving the Lakers’ front office where they would eventually want out.
