Post-deadline buyout targets that make sense for the Chicago Bulls: Eric Bledsoe

A big name that could hit the buyout market before too long is another veteran guard that was often on the move recently. The two-time All-Defensive Team selection and Los Angeles Clippers point guard Eric Bledsoe would be a name to watch for the Bulls if he were to reach an agreement to be bought out in the near future.

There wasn’t really any mention of the Bulls in connection with Bledsoe prior to the trade deadline. That is what separates him from the rest of the potential buyout market targets mentioned on this list for Karnisovas and the Bulls.

Yet, Bledsoe would check some of the boxes that the Bulls are looking for out of help from a key signing from the buyout market. If the Bulls want to add a true impact veteran guard that can help them coming off the bench night in and night out, Bledsoe could be their guy.

There is also a certain special on-ball defensive ability that Bledsoe can bring to the table for the Bulls. He is definitely one of the more underrated defenders among reserve guards in the Western Conference at this point of his career.

Bledsoe should be considered somewhat of a wildcard for the Bulls as the primetime of the buyout market for this season approaches. He could fill some needs for the Bulls’ bench during the stretch run this season. But the Bulls might have tighter connections to other potential buyout market guards that are set to emerge in the days and/or weeks ahead.
