Grand prize trade deadline targets for the Chicago Bulls: Montrezl Harrell

Another potential under-the-radar trade idea to consider for Karnisovas and the Bulls as the deadline approaches involves the Washington Wizards and power forward/center Montrezl Harrell. There is a high likelihood that the Wizards will be open to shopping most of their veteran players at the trade deadline this year to try and jumpstart a rebuild.

The biggest looming question mark concerning the Wizards at the deadline is actually probably going to be the trade status of star shooting guard Bradley Beal. If the Wizards are open to moving Beal, it could soon turn into an all-out firesale in the nation’s capital, much like what is happening with the Indiana Pacers and Portland Trail Blazers right now.

If the Wizards are open to moving some of their more notable veteran players at the deadline, one that should stick out to the Bulls is the 2019-20 Sixth Man of the Year Harrell. What the Bulls could get out of a player like Harrell is a big man that could play more of a traditional frontcourt role at the four or some good minutes at the five off the bench.

There are a few ways to look at a potential trade deal with the Wizards to get Harrell. Since this is the final year of his current contract, this could be more of a short-term move for the Bulls to help elevate the frontcourt rotation. But it could come at the cost of a key player such as Coby.
