Grand prize trade deadline targets for the Chicago Bulls: Jerami Grant

When you think of a big splash trade target for the Bulls at the deadline this year, the first name that comes to mind should often be the Detroit Pistons star forward Jerami Grant. Depending on how discussions work out between the Bulls and Pistons, this trade could meet a lot of the needs for each squad. given the state of both franchises.

Grant is also a player that would be an immediate impact player in the starting unit for Donovan and the Bulls.

Not only is Grant a nice fit that could help the Bulls immediately elevate their contender status, but there are also scenarios that could work out between Chicago and Detroit without getting too complicated it seems.

That is the problem with the Bulls going after someone like Collins from the Hawks. And it was once a similar issue to that of the Bulls potentially trying to get center Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers and/or power forward Christian Wood from the Houston Rockets.

Moreover, it feels like this deal largely hinges on how badly the Pistons want Williams and what other teams are offering for Grant ahead of the deadline. The Bulls are likely one of many suitors trying to see what it will take to get Grant from the Motor City.

Getting this deal is likely one of the top priorities for executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley. But it would also be smart to avoid giving up too much to get Grant if it compromises the future prospects of the Bulls.
