Bulls Rumors: Coby White and Derrick Jones Jr. come together in the final trade proposal

A rather risky trade for the Bulls that could pay dividends when it’s all said and done this season to upgrade the frontcourt unit at the deadline involves trading both Coby and DJJ. The Bulls would be giving up a lot of value in their backcourt and forward units in this potential trade deal with the Spurs.

There are a number of trade scenarios where I could realistically see the Bulls dealing out both Coby and DJJ. And this is one of them.

This hypothetical trade deal features a similar player swap between the Bulls and Spurs compared to the last proposal on this list. The Bulls still have Tre coming their way along with Poeltl for a return of DJJ and Coby.

The main difference here is the fact that the Bulls are giving up both Coby and DJJ to the Spurs for a return of Poeltl, Tre, and big man Drew Eubanks. This trade would likely mean that the Bulls have to get rid of another big man in the rotation. In all likelihood, that would involve parting ways with center Tony Bradley.

But if the Bulls were to include Bradley in this trade proposal, it would push both the roster numbers and the salary matching beyond the realm of possibility. You would have to get a third team involved in the trade at that point if the Bulls wanted to deal out Bradley in the same move.

Eubanks would add a floor-spacing element to the frontcourt unit that they really only get out of star center Nikola Vucevic. Meanwhile, the second unit gets a boost on the glass and with a true inside scoring presence in Poeltl. Tre brings in that aforementioned solid perimeter defensive presence.
