A constant amid Bulls rumors in the last couple of months surrounds the trade status of second-year forward Patrick Williams. But it doesn’t look like executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley are all that willing to part ways with Williams at the deadline this year.

The former fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft for the Bulls was a pretty constant topic of trade speculation throughout most of the regular season so far. The fact that Williams is one of the few young and valuable trade chips that the Bulls have to work with to upgrade their rotation, and thus elevate their contender status in the Eastern Conference this year, makes him an appealing option to discuss in this regard.

Which trade targets would be worth a reversal in Bulls rumors to ship off Patrick Williams at the deadline?

All of this does make sense from the side of the fans and media and then the Bulls organization. Knowing that it was roughly 15 months ago that the Bulls originally took a flier out on Williams with their lottery pick in the 2020 draft means that the front office likely doesn’t want to give up on him this early.

On the other hand, though, it would make sense for the Bulls to capture some of this lightning in a bottle that they really have going for them this season and try to build on it. If doing that has to involve trading Williams at the deadline, that should at least be a consideration, even if it’s not likely to actually happen.

With all of this in mind, here’s a look into three trade targets for the Bulls that would be worth considering shipping out Williams.
