Here’s how we’re betting tonight’s game:
Bulls vs Raptors Prediction
Despite the Bulls’ improved play of late, they’re just 1-6 in their last seven road games and 3-8-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last 12 away from Chicago. Losing Alex Caruso to injury on top of Lonzo Ball has devastated their defense, as they rank just 26th in the NBA in defensive rating in the six games since Caruso went down.
Now they’ll take on a Raptors team that’s 13-3 ATS in their last 16 home games. I’m hesitant to fade Chicago, though, as they’ve won five straight against the Raptors. DeMar DeRozan has been on fire lately too, averaging 30.8 points, 6.6 assists, and 6.4 rebounds over his last five while shooting 63.2% from the field and 55.6% from beyond the arc.
Instead, the over presents tremendous value for bettors. The over is 4-1 in the Bulls’ last five as they’ve adjusted to life without Caruso and an incredible 10-2 in the Raptors’ last 12 home games.
Chicago has the 4th-best offensive rating on the season (112.5) and while their defense has fallen off a cliff without Caruso, their offensive rating has actually increased to 116.6 as DeRozan and Zach LaVine have to keep up with opposing offenses. They’ve played at the 8th-fastest pace in their last six games compared to 15th before the injury.
I’ll take the over 222.5 (-110) as my best bet tonight as the Bulls’ offense continues to excel and adjust to their new style of play.
