Chicago Bulls dud from revenge win over the Magic: Coby White

While one young guard for the Bulls stood out in this game, another one struggled to find his footing on either end of the floor. This definitely wasn’t the worst performance that we’ll see from third-year point guard Coby White, but it also wasn’t his best either. Coby had an off-night for the most part shooting from the field and from beyond the arc.

The good news for the Bulls, though, is the fact that the team didn’t need Coby’s production off the bench to get the win over the Magic. Coby did help to provide a spark at times in this game, but his cold shooting numbers from the field didn’t prove to be too detrimental down the stretch to his team.

White finished up this game with nine points on just 4-of-12 shooting from the field, 1-of-5 from beyond the arc, and he didn’t have any attempts from the free-throw line. Any time White comes up with just nine points on 12 field goal attempts, you could tell it wasn’t his day efficiency-wise.

Moreover, Coby also gave the Bulls three rebounds, five assists, no steals, no blocks, and one turnover. It was good to see that White at least took care of the basketball for the Bulls in this win over the Magic.

Five assists with just one turnover is an encouraging sign for White’s game as he is still getting key minutes at the point guard position in the second unit for the Bulls. He will continue to get those critical minutes off the bench and elevated minutes game in and game out as long as the likes of Caruso and Lonzo are out.
