In the last six weeks, the Chicago Bulls have faced some of the real ups and downs of the regular season slate thus far. The Bulls were in a great spot through early January. And then a real bad injury bug hit second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Bulls with a vengeance. That brought up some real concerns that the Bulls could drop back in the Eastern Conference standings.

Yet, the Bulls staved off some of the last couple of bad injury waves pretty well up to this point. Despite a four-game losing streak in the middle of January, last month didn’t turn out to be all that bad for the Bulls. They still finished the month with a winning record and have a manageable schedule facing them in early February.

Which Chicago Bulls players are fighting to stay in the rotation this month?

All of the roster movement the Bulls saw in the last six weeks, thanks to some of the recent waves of injuries and the league’s health and safety protocol, will be put to the test in February. Between the looming trade deadline and buyout market potentially moving more roster pieces for the Bulls this month, there could be some players really fighting for their lives in this rotation right now.

The next few games could be really important for some of the Bulls players that are buried deeper down the bench at this point. And seeing how the front office was already willing to move players deeper down the bench and/or in two-way contract slots in a short matter of time shows just how fast the roster could continue to turnover when necessary in the second half of the season.

Here’s a look into three Bulls players on the current roster that are fighting to stay in the rotation in February that could be hitting the waiver wire otherwise.
