Less than two weeks away now from the looming trade deadline on Feb. 10, the Chicago Bulls could be one of the more active teams on the open market from the Eastern Conference. The Bulls are going to be seeking to address multiple needs potentially at the deadline this year.

Some of the needs that the Bulls’ front office addresses at the deadline could range from adding a true standout forward to play at the four, adding depth to the backcourt unit, and/or adding a backup center, among a couple of other things. It makes sense for the Bulls to address depth issues in the rotation now and/or upgrade the starting unit at the four.

If the Bulls do go the route of trading for someone like Jerami Grant from the Detroit Pistons or Harrison Barnes of the Sacramento Kings, that might limit the moves they can make in terms of adding depth to the rotation otherwise. That is why it is interesting to watch the rumors that come out in the days and weeks ahead of the trade deadline to get a broader sense of what the front office is planning to do at the deadline this year.

Which big names on the trade block should the Chicago Bulls be avoiding at the deadline?

I would personally expect the Bulls to go for the big move first and see if they can get someone like Barnes or Grant to come to the Windy City. Once they make a decision on that front, then the front office can focus on addressing any other depth needs.

But the Bulls must also work to avoid any outlandish potential trade targets at the deadline among big-name players that look to be available.

With that in mind, here’s a look into four big potential trade targets the Bulls must avoid at the deadline.
