3 trades Bulls can make with the Raptors for Pascal Siakam
With all of the recent injuries that second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls dealt with in the last few weeks, the strategy for this team at the trade deadline could be changing. That largely depends on how aggressive the Bulls’ front office would still want to get at the trade deadline next month.
The Bulls are likely to be missing point guard Lonzo Ball, point guard Alex Caruso, forward Derrick Jones Jr., and forward Patrick Williams once the trade deadline arrives on Feb. 10. With that in mind, the Bulls could reasonably have shifted their priorities at the trade deadline.
As recently as a few weeks ago, it looked like some of the Bulls’ top trade targets could include the Detroit Pistons star forward Jerami Grant, Sacramento Kings veteran forward Harrison Barnes, and former Atlanta Hawks wing Cam Reddish. And it appears that Grant could still be on the Bulls’ radar at this point.

If the Bulls are still willing to go after Grant, though, that could mean that the aspirations at the deadline as still pretty lofty for the front office. Executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley could still be wanting to do whatever they can to realistically elevate the Bulls’ contender status in the Eastern Conference.
If that is the case, it’s not out of the question that the Bulls could pursue another big-time forward on the trade block ahead of the deadline. Some of those names to watch are the Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam and Hawks rising star John Collins.
Granted, Siakam feels like it could be more realistic than Collins given what the Hawks’ asking price for the former Wake Forest Demon Deacons star could be.
