More bad injury news came the way of second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls following a close loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on the road on the night of Jan. 21. The Bulls played with toughness and perseverance with multiple players out due to various injury issues. But it looks like you can now add one more to the list of players showing up on the injury report at the moment for the Bulls.

And the most recent addition to the injury report for the Bulls is one that just recently got healthy after missing time due to a hamstring injury and the league’s health and safety protocol. Defensive standout point guard Alex Caruso now looks to be set to miss at least the next six or eight weeks due to a wrist injury he suffered in the loss to the Bucks this weekend.

Chicago Bulls might turn to free agency again after the Alex Caruso injury news

The injury that Caruso suffered in the loss to the Bucks also came courtesy of a dirty play from shooting guard Grayson Allen. After having a history of questionable cheap shots since his days with the Duke Blue Devils, Allen was able to knock out Caruso in this game.

There was a hard foul for Allen on Caruso that resulted in a flagrant 2. It was a clearly poor play on the part of Allen. And the Bulls are going to suffer the consequences now with the news that Caruso will be out for more than a full month.

This could leave the Bulls in a position to have to go the free agency route to add depth back to the backcourt unit. Here’s a look into three free agents the Bulls could sign with Caruso out for a while now.
