Chicago Bulls trades to right the ship immediately: Steal John Collins from the Hawks

Any team that is going to try and get the former Wake Forest Demon Deacons star power forward John Collins from the Atlanta Hawks is going to have to offer up a lot to make that happen. But knowing that Collins is available now on the trade block ahead of the deadline next month, I do believe the Bulls should at least consider making something like this happen.

Depending on how much Karnisovas and the Bulls would actually value bringing in a young and talented big man such as Collins into the mix in Chicago, this is a deal that is also appealing. Collins could obviously make an immediate difference for the Bulls in terms of elevating their contender status.

The Bulls really need a big man that can play at the four and be more of a potent and versatile threat on the offensive end of the floor than just Vucevic, especially when he is having an off night. That was evident in both losses for the Bulls this week to the Warriors and Nets. Vucevic was about the only matchup advantage the Bulls had at times. But that was taken away when Vucevic went ice-cold shooting from the field.

The final potential trade deal mentioned on this list has three teams involved. It sees the Bulls ship off Coby, DJJ, and second-year forward Patrick Williams, along with a lottery-protected future first to the Hawks for the return of Collins. And then the Oklahoma City Thunder get involved to send big man Derrick Favors to the Hawks and forward Kenrich Williams to the Bulls for a return of wing De’Andre Hunter and TBJ.

Collins is going to continue to be one of the most hotly discussed trade chips around the NBA as the deadline approaches in the next few weeks.
