Really bad news surfaced on the night of Jan. 14 for star shooting guard Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls in another letdown on national television. In front of a national television audience, the Bulls found themselves down LaVine and behind the eight ball in terms of momentum early on against head coach Steve Kerr, superstar point guard Stephen Curry, and the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 14.

The Bulls were looking for a chance to bounce back against a team that looked beatable on this night in the Warriors. But there was another factor at work in this game to top the Bulls in a game that looked like they needed to build some momentum from.

Early on in this meeting with the Warriors, LaVine went down with an apparent knee injury that would take him out for the rest of the game. It was later confirmed in this game by K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago on Twitter that LaVine would be out for the rest of the game for the Bulls.

Johnson also tweeted out that “LaVine will undergo an MRI on Saturday”. And it sounds like LaVine won’t be traveling with the Bulls for their Jan. 15 matchup against the Boston Celtics on the road on Jan. 15 in the back end of these back-to-back games.

LaVine only played in four minutes in this game prior to going down with this knee injury. He essentially went right to the locker room after this injury happened.

The knee injuries are also starting to mount for the Bulls when they are on national television. The same thing happened on this night that the Bulls had happen in the bad loss at home to the Brooklyn Nets on Jan. 12. It was forward Derrick Jones Jr. that went down with a knee injury in the Bulls’ loss to the Nets a few nights ago.

DJJ is now set to be out at least for the next few weeks after his knee injury earlier this week.

At this point, the Bulls are a very injured team. After this LaVine injury, the Bulls are now down one of their top stars along with point guard Alex Caruso, DJJ, shooting guard/forward Javonte Green, and second-year forward Patrick Williams.
