In what looks like a great opportunity for second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls to bounce back after a convincing double-digit loss to round out last weekend, this team returns home to the United Center to face a division foe. The Bulls are set to face the Detroit Pistons at home on the night of Jan. 11 with a chance to win 10 of their last 11 games.

Donovan and the Bulls had a nine-game winning streak severed by the Dallas Mavericks over the weekend in a 113-99 loss on the road at the American Airlines Center. In a game where the Bulls really looked lackluster on both ends of the floor, especially in the second half, there are some issues that need correcting ahead of a difficult slate of opponents this week.

Following the loss to the Mavs on Jan. 9, the Bulls come into this game with a record of 26-11. Meanwhile, the Pistons come into this meeting with the Bulls sporting a record of 9-30 following a Jan. 10 loss to the Utah Jazz by the final score of 126-116. This is the back end of back-to-back games for the Pistons on Jan. 11.

The Pistons also are sporting a record of just 3-17 on the road coming into this game.

Here’s a look into the betting odds and game prediction as the Bulls are getting set to take on the Pistons at the United Center in Chicago, with tip-off time set for 7 p.m. CT on Jan. 11.

Chicago Bulls vs. Detroit Pistons betting odds

According to WynnBet, the Bulls are a whopping 13-point favorite over the Pistons in this game. And the over/under is set at 219.5 points.

The ESPN matchup predictor gives the Bulls an 80.5 percent chance to beat the Pistons.

Chicago Bulls vs. Detroit Pistons prediction

First and foremost, the Bulls are going to need the star duo of shooting guard Zach LaVine and forward DeMar DeRozan to step it up in this game. DeRozan didn’t have a bad game against the Mavs, but he was also pretty quiet by his usual standards with 20 points on the night.

Meanwhile, LaVine had one of his least efficient performances in recent memory in the Bulls’ loss to the Mavs on Jan. 9. In fact, he registered his worst box plus/minus of the season to date in that game.

It is also important to note that the Bulls are going to need star center Nikola Vucevic to start bouncing back after a down game in the loss to the Mavs. Vucevic was playing really well for the Bulls prior to that aforementioned loss over the weekend. But it seemed like he hit a wall against the Mavs.

LaVine and DeRozan could definitely take advantage of a down Pistons team that is getting them on the back end of a very difficult set of back-to-back games. It looks like this could be a huge night statistically for these two.

Next. 3 players that are slumping in January. dark

If the Bulls do come out against the Pistons on a strong note, then it should be a big night on both ends of the floor. A lot of the emphasis in this game will be slowing down rookie point guard Cade Cunningham, who had a big outing with 29 points in the Pistons’ loss to the Jazz on Jan. 10.

Final score prediction: Bulls-125, Pistons-100
