Underrated trade targets for Arturas Karnisovas and the Chicago Bulls: Cam Reddish

The more and more we see the former Duke Blue Devils elite five-star recruit and Atlanta Hawks third-year small forward Cam Reddish play a bigger role this season, the more it looks like it will cost a lot to trade for him around the deadline next month. If the Hawks are still planning on trading Reddish, then the timing could be about perfect to get a good return for him.

Reddish is playing some of the best basketball of his career of late. The pieces were there for Reddish to be a decent rebounder, on-ball defender, and free-throw shooter in the last couple of seasons. But the fact that he is finding his shot from the field, and more specifically from beyond the arc, could mean special things ahead in his future.

But if there’s a spot that Karnisovas and second-year head coach Billy Donovan could still find for Reddish in this rotation, I firmly believe it is worth getting in discussions with the Hawks to see what the asking price will be. Reddish is the type of trade target that could be very valuable to the Bulls for a long time.

Not only would acquiring Reddish get the Bulls a player that could make an immediate impact in the wing rotation (or the frontcourt depending on how much more small-ball Donovan wants to play), he’s got a really high two-way upside. Reddish has the lengthy and off-ball awareness to excel in many facets of the game on the defensive end.
