Underrated trade targets for Arturas Karnisovas and the Chicago Bulls: Drew Eubanks

The first spot up on this list is reserved really just to make a point instead of naming one emphatic potential trade target for Karnisovas and the Bulls to go after ahead of the trade deadline this season. First and foremost, I think it’s necessary to mention the fact that the Bulls are likely going to seek out more frontcourt depth if they hit the trade market than any other position group.

While it’s true that it wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing for the Bulls to upgrade the backcourt unit, there already appears to be a plethora of depth on the roster at the moment. Why try to fix something that isn’t broken?

There are a few potential names to watch that the Bulls could go after around the trade deadline this season to upgrade the frontcourt depth. The first name that does stick out to me among those that the Bulls could go after in this regard is the San Antonio Spurs 24-year-old big man Drew Eubanks.

As likely one of the favorites among those mainly coming off the Spurs bench right now for legendary head coach Gregg Popovich, it might be difficult to get him out of San Antonio. But his minutes are down this season to around a dozen per game. He could make a bigger impact in terms of helping push the envelope on success in the win column for the Bulls compared to the Spurs.

One of the most encouraging factors about the Bulls potentially going after Eubanks would be the fact that they could buy-low on him. Eubanks is a career 44 percent shooter from beyond the arc. But he’s shooting the three-ball at a clip of just 19 percent this season.

A few other potential names to watch here include the likes of the Oklahoma City Thunder big man Darius Bazley and Memphis Grizzlies center Xavier Tillman.
