Most likely Chicago Bulls players to be traded at the deadline: Troy Brown Jr.

Potentially the easiest player for the Bulls to part ways with at this point of the season is the former Washington Wizards shooting guard/small forward Troy Brown Jr. With this being the final year of Brown’s rookie contract, he’s also got one of the most tradeable deals on the books right now for the Bulls.

After executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley went out to acquire Brown from the Wizards at the trade deadline last season, it looked like all he needed was a change of scenery to right the ship in his development. Yet, things aren’t much better with Brown’s development in the last year with the Bulls compared to the path he was on with the Wizards.

For that reason, I don’t believe it would take all that much for the Bulls to toss Brown in with a trade package with a few other players that could help upgrade the roster to win down the stretch this season.  That is unless Brown really turns it around soon. Even that might be too little too late for Brown in the Windy City.

Brown might not be the most appealing trade target that the Bulls can offer. But having a movable contract like his that is very tradeable approaching the deadline can be very valuable for the Bulls in any potential negotiation. There shouldn’t be much attachment that the Bulls’ front office and/or coaching staff has to Brown at this point.
