Outlandish trade targets the Chicago Bulls should avoid in 2022: Domantas Sabonis

The only big name that looks to be on the trade block for the Pacers that I believe is worth going after given the Bulls’ current situation is the standout two-way center, Myles Turner. That leaves the Bulls in a spot where they shouldn’t really touch either shooting guard/small forward Caris LeVert or star big man Domantas Sabonis from the Pacers.

While Sabonis might be the most appealing potential trade target on this list for most teams that will be buyers (or at least seeking out a star on the trade block), that doesn’t mean every squad is in a position to make that move. The Bulls are definitely on that list of teams that really don’t make sense for Sabonis.

It would be more than clashing for the Bulls to have to split time in the frontcourt between star center Nikola Vucevic and Sabonis. Vucevic is also a better fit for what second-year head coach Billy Donovan, offensive-minded assistant Chris Fleming, and the Bulls are trying to do with their offensive gameplan.

Sabonis is definitely going to be one of the hottest commodities if the Pacers do decide to move him around the trade deadline this season. The Bulls should remain away from that conversation, though.

Some potential landing spots worth mentioning for Sabonis this season include the Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, and Trail Blazers.
