4 Bulls players that could be 2022 All-Star selections
Chicago Bulls players who could be All-Stars this season: DeMar DeRozan
In a short span of time, the Bulls have found one of the most electric star duos in the East between the likes of LaVine and the four-time All-Star shooting guard/forward DeMar DeRozan. And there are definitely times where the Bulls are getting carried to important wins by a player having a career year in DeRozan.
There are times where DeRozan played like one of the best guards/wings in the NBA. But this season could be one that is unlike any other for the 32-year-old DeRozan. He’s doing things he’s never really accomplished before on both ends of the floor.
Through 28 games played this season, DeRozan has averaged around 27 points per game, five rebounds, four assists, one steal, and 0.5 blocks. And he’s shot around 51 percent from the field, 36 percent from beyond the arc, and 88 percent from the free-throw line.
These shooting numbers especially aren’t ones that DeRozan managed in the past. Turning into a threat from beyond the arc is definitely a new development in DeRozan’s game.
Every season that DeRozan had like this one saw him get an All-Star nod. He looks like a shoo-in right now for All-NBA Team honors. But he’s got to keep up this pace in the next couple of months to solidify that status. DeRozan and LaVine should really be two considerations for All-Star starters this season.
