Chicago Bulls players who could be All-Stars this season: Zach LaVine
Last season, star shooting guard Zach LaVine got a well-deserved first-career All-Star nod. He definitely had a solid case to be an All-Star selection two seasons ago, but he was snubbed in the end. LaVine is essentially putting up the same numbers he did last season too. Given the fact that he’s finally finding more success in the win column, there should be an All-Star nod in his future for the second time in his career.
If LaVine is replicating his numbers from last season in an efficient manner while playing for a winning team, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t get the nod.
Through 29 games played this season, LaVine is averaging around 27 points per game, five rebounds, four assists, one steal, and 0.5 blocks. And he’s shot around 50 percent from the field, 41 percent from beyond the arc, and 85 percent from the free-throw line.
The key for LaVine at this point is just staying healthy. He’s obviously an incredibly important part of this team, and he’s started to gain more of the recognition and respect this season that he should’ve had a couple of years ago.
LaVine’s ascent to true star status looked like it was starting to near completion last season. If he can get a second career All-Star nod this season while leading a spirited postseason run for the Bulls, his ascent to star status (border lining on superstar) will definitely be complete.
