Chicago Bulls players who could be All-Stars this season: Nikola Vucevic

A Bulls player that is truly starting to make his case to be an All-Star selection for the third time in his career is the former Orlando Magic star center Nikola Vucevic. While he got off to a slow start this season, it seems like Vucevic is starting to find his game of late. He’s really found his shot and played well on the defensive end down low in the last few games.

If Vucevic continues to produce the way he has in the last four or five games, he will definitely be a real consideration to get the third All-Star nod of his career. After a hot stretch during this four-game winning streak for the Bulls, Vucevic is shooting better than 36 percent from beyond the arc this season with around 11 rebounds per game.

Vucevic is also averaging around 16 points per game, four assists, one steal, and one block. On the surface, these per-game stats and shooting percentages are still worth All-Star consideration.

Going with the idea that Vucevic has turned a corner for the Bulls at this point of the season, he should be able to get his numbers into a realm where he is also a dark horse consideration for an All-NBA Team nod.

The difference between this season and some in the past for Vucevic is the fact that he’s playing for a real contender in the East. That was never really the case for him during his prime years with the Magic. That type of recognition is something that could get Vucevic over the hump to get an All-Star nod this season.
