With the NBA All-Star voting opening up last week, there are plenty of names to watch for the Chicago Bulls as the numbers start to get released soon. Second-year head coach Billy Donovan has a plethora of players worthy of consideration for All-Star selection out of the gates this season.
That is apparent in the fact that the Bulls are riding a four-game winning streak heading into their meeting with the Atlanta Hawks at home at the United Center on the night of Dec. 29. The Bulls are currently sporting a record of 21-10 heading into this meeting with the Hawks, which is good for second place in the Eastern Conference standings only behind the Brooklyn Nets.
The pace that the Bulls are on right now is one that the team wasn’t doing since the days of Derrick Rose in Chicago. The last time that the Bulls had even 21 wins before the turn of the calendar year in a single season was back during the 2014-15 campaign. That year, the Bulls finished up with a record of 50-32, good for third place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Which Chicago Bulls players can get an All-Star nod this season?
Now, the Bulls are looking to prove themselves among the elite teams in the East. To do that, their best players will have to continue to elevate this team’s contender status as they’ve done through the first 31 games of the regular season.
A good indication of where this team is at this season, though, could be the number of All-Star selections representing the Bulls in Cleveland.
With that in mind, here’s a look into four Bulls players who could be All-Star selections this season.
