Chicago Bulls Christmas wish list for the 2022 free agent class: Jusuf Nurkic

Another All-Star caliber big man that is likely going to be available in free agency next summer is the Trail Blazers standout big man Jusuf Nurkic. This 6-foot-11 and 290-pound center was actually originally picked by the Bulls in the first round (16th overall) in the 2016 NBA Draft. But he was traded to the Denver Nuggets on draft night 2014 along with shooting guard Gary Harris.

Ironically enough, Nurkic and Harris are likely to be two of the higher-profile free agents in the class of 2022. Nurkic would be the one that is going to stick out more to Bulls fans right away, though.

Harris might be the more realistic free agent target of the two for next offseason, depending on the price tag it takes to sign each of them. But Nurkic would obviously add more value right away to the frontcourt unit. I’ve already mentioned the fact that I believe that the Bulls are going to seek help in the frontcourt unit to some degree next offseason.

That’s why I believe that Nurkic would be a top target at the center position to go after for executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley for the Bulls next offseason.

Nurkic is set to be an unrestricted free agent next offseason. If he is an option for the Bulls, he would definitely be one of the more appealing targets in free agency that could definitely move the needle right away. But there might not be a more impactful name on this list among potential free agent targets for the Bulls next offseason as Nurkic.
