4 trade targets that should be on the Bulls’ Christmas wish list
Trade targets on the Chicago Bulls Christmas wish list: Kenrich Williams
While there are definitely some more high-profile and attention-grabbing trade targets that could be out there for the Bulls ahead of the trade deadline this season, one that I personally like for this team is the Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kenrich Williams. As one of the most underrated forwards in the Western Conference so far this season, Williams is definitely a valued trade piece if the Thunder are willing to move him without too hefty of an asking price.
Williams could also be a nice fit with what Donovan and the Bulls are trying to do moving forward. He’s a solid shot creator and an efficient shooter from downtown, a strong on-ball defender, and an energetic rebounder on both ends of the floor. The two-way impact that Wiliams could make coming off the bench for Donovan and the Bulls is unquestioned.
As someone who has really developed into one of the most consistent and well-rounded reserve forwards in the NBA, Williams could contribute right away to the Bulls bench unit. He’s someone that can shoot north of 40 percent from beyond the arc, average around four rebounds per game in limited minutes, and nab at least one steal per game.
All of those aspects of Williams’ game could really help the Bulls’ efforts to find more and more success in the win column this season.
It doesn’t really feel like there on any players on the Thunder roster right now that are 100 percent off-limits, potentially outside of standout point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and rookie guard Josh Giddey. That’s why there should be some real consideration that the Bulls’ front office has in landing Williams ahead of the trade deadline this season.
