4 trade targets that should be on the Bulls’ Christmas wish list
As the Chicago Bulls work through one of their bigger hurdles of the season (maybe the biggest so far) in the midst of a number of absences due to the league’s health and safety protocol, there is still a focus on what lies ahead after the Christmas break. The Bulls still have some key matchups ahead after the Christmas holiday, starting with a meeting at home at the United Center on Dec. 26 against the division foe Indiana Pacers.
And the Bulls will now have to face some potentially challenging foes ahead of the turn of the calendar year from 2021 to 2022 without second-year head coach Billy Donovan. The news came down on the morning of Dec. 24 that Donovan entered the league’s health and safety protocol, giving way to assistant Chris Fleming taking over as the interim head coach for the time being.
This now means that the Bulls have some serious preparation to do before taking on the likes of the Pacers once, and the Atlanta Hawks twice, coming out of the Christmas break. If the Bulls can work through this upcoming stretch of three games against the Pacers and Hawks with two or three wins, that will be a major feat for this team.

Moving forward, though, it appears that the Bulls could still use at least one or two more pieces to really push for a spot in the NBA Finals when it comes to postseason time. The Bulls are currently in second place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 19-10, only behind the Brooklyn Nets.
Adding another piece or two ahead of the trade deadline this season could be really helpful for the Bulls’ title chances.
