More free agents the Chicago Bulls could sign in the wake of COVID-19 issues: Danuel House

A name that is constantly getting tossed around right now with all of the health and safety protocol issues going on around the NBA is the recently released former Houston Rockets sharpshooting wing Danuel House. This former Texas A&M Aggies star was abruptly let go by the Rockets in the last week when they made the decision to sign fellow sharpshooter Garrison Mathews to more of a long-term deal.

House is now one of the more noteworthy names popping up in free agency. And if the Bulls are willing to give him a shot, obviously the idea of signing him would stick out.

It’s clear that wherever House has gone of late, his start is usually better than his ending. His shooting numbers and per-game stats really took a steady dip since his second season with the Rockets, which came back during the 2019-20 campaign. House was posting some of the worst per-game stats of his career this season with the Rockets.

Given the persistent need for the Bulls to have some added wing depth and more floor spacing, adding House doesn’t sound like the worst idea. He’s surely made a positive impact with the Rockets in recent years and could be a knockdown shooter on the wing for the Bulls if he gets his shot right.

House would be one of the most polarizing signings that the Bulls could make at this point of the season. But given how much help a lot of teams around the NBA landscape are needing right now in an abrupt fashion due to all of the COVID-19-related issues, it feels like only a matter of time before someone else signs House.
