Players not named Myles Turner the Chicago Bulls could trade for: LaMarcus Aldridge
A trade target to consider for executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley that I don’t believe should be overlooked in the Bulls camp is the Nets’ veteran power forward LaMarcus Aldridge. After recently coming out of retirement to sign back with the Nets, Aldridge is off to a great start this season through 25 games played.
The rejuvenated 36-year-old floor-spacing power forward is having the most efficient season of his career since the 2018-19 campaign when he played for the Spurs. He was also an All-Star selection for the Spurs in that season.
I don’t know how willing the Nets would be to part ways with someone like Aldridge. That would all depend on what their roster is shaping up to be in the weeks and months ahead. This type of decision for the Nets’ front office could also hinge on what happens with the likes of point guard Kyrie Irving and fellow power forward Blake Griffin.
The fact of the matter right now is that the Nets have multiple power forwards that the Bulls could utilize. Aldridge might not be the easiest to get, but if he is, this is one name to watch for in the Windy City.
Another potential name to watch on the trade block for the Bulls that currently plays for the Nets as the deadline approaches is the former Denver Nuggets and Atlanta Hawks veteran power forward Paul Millsap. Aldridge is off to a much better start this season compared to Millsap. Maybe the Bulls could pry away one of these two veteran big men from the Nets later this season.
