As the focus for the Chicago Bulls returns to game action on the night of Dec. 19 as second-year head coach Billy Donovan and his squad take on the Los Angeles Lakers, there is still a longer-term discussion going on about how good this team could be in the grand scheme of things this season. The Bulls look to be one of the top postseason contenders in the Eastern Conference this season, along with teams like the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Miami Heat.

Through the first 27 games of the regular season, the Bulls are sporting a record of 17-10. And that’s considering the fact that the Bulls were really shorthanded in two losses in their last two games played. Those last two losses came for the Bulls at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Heat.

Donovan and the Bulls have a team that can make a deep postseason run in the East this season. Some key standout players such as star shooting guard/forward DeMar DeRozan, shooting guard Zach LaVine, center Nikola Vucevic, and point guard Lonzo Ball, among others, could take the Bulls far.

For the Bulls to continue to elevate their contender status in the East this season, they might have to make some additional moves on the trade block to improve the roster. It’s clear that there are still some looming roster needs facing the Bulls in the weeks and months ahead.

One player that keeps coming up in trade discussions for many contenders, such as the Bulls, is the defensive standout Indiana Pacers center, Myles Turner. It would be intriguing for the Bulls to go out and trade for Turner, but that would take a lot to happen.

With that in mind, here’s a look into three players that are not Turner that the Bulls could trade for ahead of the deadline in 2022.
