Chicago Bulls dud from road win over the Knicks: Lonzo Ball

For a few games in a row, point guard Lonzo Ball was either a stud on these lists for the Bulls or at least a strong consideration. But that streak ended for Lonzo as his offensive efficiency really took a dip in this game. Lonzo did at least salvage something from this performance at MSG thanks to three blocks on the night.

But Lonzo is often going to get consideration for the dud for the Bulls on the night if he shoots just 3-of-14 from the field and finishes up as a team-worst -9. Lonzo wasn’t a very positive presence out on the floor for the Bulls in this game. He did have some key shots in this game, including a three-pointer that helped the Bulls to start separating by a double-digit margin on the scoreboard in the first half.

Yet, that doesn’t mean that Lonzo topped the production and efficiency of a number of his teammates on this night. He was the most inefficient Bulls player in this win over the Knicks.

Lonzo registered just eight points on the aforementioned 3-of-14 from the field and 2-of-10 from beyond the arc, with no attempts from the free-throw line. He also registered five rebounds, six assists, no steals, three blocks, and two turnovers.

It was clear that Lonzo’s teammates tried to get him going from beyond the arc, with the whopping 10 attempts he had from downtown. This game felt more like when Lonzo went 3-of-11 from beyond the arc in a Bulls loss to the Miami Heat late last month than how he played throughout the other three or four games in the last 10 days. The good news here is that the Bulls still got out of MSG with a win.
