Most tradable Chicago Bulls players after first 22: Alize Johnson
Another Bulls player that looked like he could play a more important role in this Bulls rotation this season than he actually has thus far is the former Indiana Pacers and Nets power forward Alize Johnson. Yet, Johnson also looked like a versatile and valuable fit for the Bulls’ second or third unit in the frontcourt rotation at the outset of this season.
Solid production out of Johnson during the preseason hasn’t translated to much of any success in the Bulls’ rotation at the outset of the regular season, though. He’s actually getting less playing time per game this season compared to Brown. Johnson has played in the same number of games for the Bulls this season as Brown, 13, but in two fewer minutes per game comparatively.
If you think that the playing time for Brown waned as the season moved along so far, Johnson is really down bad. Johnson has only played in more than five minutes in a game once in the past 10. And it was 10 games ago that saw Johnson last score a point for the Bulls. That’s pretty hard to swallow.
In fact, Johnson had two turnovers since he scored his last point. And the last time that Johnson registered a single point for the Bulls was when he came off the bench for this team in a massive loss to the Golden State Warriors on the road last month. He really hasn’t received any meaningful minutes for the Bulls off the bench in the last dozen outings.
