Chicago Bulls: 2 studs, 1 dud, from arduous win over Hornets
On the night of Nov. 29, the Chicago Bulls and second-year head coach Billy Donovan got a necessary and trying win at home at the United Center to prevent a losing streak from moving to two games against the Charlotte Hornets. This was a tough matchup for the Bulls early this week before they hit the road again to face the New York Knicks on the first day of the month of December.
The Bulls came into this meeting with the Hornets looking to bounce back from a tight three-point loss to star shooting guard/small forward Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat at home at the United Center on Nov. 27. Following that loss to the Heat over the weekend, the Bulls were defeated in three of their last four games.

Yet, this night showed how quickly this Bulls team can bounce back when their top stars come to play. The starting unit was essentially firing on all cylinders for the Bulls on Nov. 29, as they controlled this game most of the way after around the halfway point of the second quarter.
There were points in this game where the Bulls started to waver, and the Hornets had some life behind the efforts of sensational point guard LaMelo Ball and veteran standout forward Gordon Hayward. At one point in the fourth quarter, the Hornets were on a 17-4 run and closed the Bulls’ lead to just a couple of possessions.
Nonetheless, the Bulls were able to close out this win in an impressive fashion to top the Hornets by the final score of 133-119. Here’s a look into two studs and one dud from the Bulls double-digit win over the Hornets at home on Nov. 29.
