LaVar Ball wants all of his sons to play for the Bulls
There is currently a battle going on between two of the most notable brothers in the NBA, with Lonzo Ball and the Chicago Bulls leading against LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets at the United Center on the night of Nov. 29. Lonzo and the Bulls went back and forth with LaMelo and the Hornets early on, only to see Chicago take command at the outset of the second half.
This was a big-time matchup between Lonzo and LaMelo, two of the more talented young point guards in the NBA today. And their father, LaVar Ball, was in attendance at the United Center to watch LaMelo and the Hornets face Lonzo and the Bulls on Nov. 29.
With the hype surrounding the reigning Rookie of the Year LaMelo, and the solid start to the season for Lonzo in his first year in Chicago, we were sure to hear something polarizing and energetic from LaVar coming into this game with him in attendance.
LaVar Ball reportedly wants Lonzo Ball, LaMelo Ball, and LiAngelo Ball all playing with the Chicago Bulls
LaVar gave some interesting takes and opinions to the LA Times in a piece from Mark Liederman on Nov. 29. Maybe the most intriguing off the top was the fact that LaVar mentioned that he wants to bring all of his sons together with the Bulls.
He seems to like what the Bulls bring to the table as a franchise, and what the city of Chicago offers, to his sons. This would give a pretty clear indication that LaVar also likes the situation that Lonzo finds himself in for his first season with the Bulls.
LaVar also noted that he wants his sons to be “the first billionaires to play basketball”. Although it does look like the Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward LeBron James will be the first in the NBA in this day and age to become a billionaire. Forbes reported back in August 2021 that LeBron is currently worth around $850 million.
Nonetheless, it is interesting to hear that LaVar mentioned he wanted LiAngelo Ball, Lonzo, and LaMelo to all eventually wind up playing together in Chicago. That would be a crowded backcourt unit with a ton of polarizing figures in it.
Lonzo and LaMelo are currently locked in a battle that is favoring the Bulls at the end of three quarters. But these two are looking to be prominent figures among point guards around the NBA for a long time.
